SPEAKER:  Dr. Jeana Myers, NCSU Cooperative Extension Agent for Wake County

Jeana has been the Horticulture Agent in Wake County for 10 years.  She oversees the Master Gardener program and works with landscapers, farmers and homeowners.  Her doctorate is in Soil Science.  Jeana is an avid organic gardener and grows fruits, berries, vegetables, ornamentals, and has raised chickens for many years.

We live in the hot and humid south, so choosing the fruit cultivars that grow best here is critical! Knowing what they need in terms of soil, fertility, pruning, and landscape location will help  their vigor and reduce disease and insect pressure. Learn which ones are easy and which are fussy!
