Falyn Owens is an Extension Wildlife Biologist and a member of the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. She has been working in wildlife conservation for over 15 years, alternately specializing in songbird ecology, deer management, and urban wildlife management. She currently focuses on the variety of ways people and wildlife interact, especially managing and preventing conflict. Aside from wildlife, she is also an expert on gardening with native plants and foraging for mushrooms around the Triangle. Falyn holds an M.S. in wildlife from Louisiana State University.
