Speaker: Julieta Sherk, Associate Professor, Department of Horticultural Science, NC State University and Registered Landscape Architect
Our understanding of how the design process impacts decision making when creating a landscape plan is critical. We will discover how elements and principles of design can improve our landscapes. Julieta will unpack how color theory can be used to beautify landscapes. And she'll explore how plants are used in effective landscape designs including to provide aesthetic, functional and architectural elements as well as ecosystem services (processes of natural systems that directly or indirectly benefit humans or enhance social welfare).
