C.J. received his associate degree in Horticulture/Floriculture from the University of Maryland in 1982 and a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University in Maryland in Plant Biology in 1986. For 31 years, he managed the landscape maintenance of over 200 schools in Wake County. He retired in 2024.
A life-long gardener, C.J. grows a blend of annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs complimented by a wonderfully whimsical collection of garden art; each piece surprises you as you walk the paths of his garden. He also has
a stunning collection of roses and many rare plant species, including bog specimens. He states that, “Plants and gardens are my passion.”
